Best Kept Secret in San Pedro

Sean Hecht, Mary Silverstein, and Arturo Alvarez of HCBF

Olesia Farberov and Marc Ryan of Green Health Acupuncture want to give a shout out to our friends and neighbors at HCBF and say congratulations for all the press coming your way!

For those of you that don’t know. HCBF stands for the Harbor Community Benefit Foundation and they were created as the result of a settlement between  community activists here in San Pedro and Wilmington and the Trepac shipping company.

Their mission is to give away grant monies from the settlement for projects that are related to educating, treating and generally helping people in the area who are exposed to air pollution and environmental toxins.

They are neighbors in our building and we visit with Mary and Arturo whenever they are trying to get work done. ;)   Good people and a great organization! We all share a very similar vision about the problems caused by environmental toxins and we are all working together to come up with solutions.

Check out these links to learn more about what they are up to.
